§ 15.5-1.5. Enlargement of buildings and construction of accessory buildings.

  • Existing buildings shall not be altered in such a manner as to increase floor area or change the land area covered by the buildings or structure nor shall accessory buildings be constructed until a site plan has been submitted and approved in accordance with the provisions of this chapter unless otherwise exempted under section 15.5-1.3. Provided, however, no site plan shall be required when the proposed action involves the addition to an existing building of at least equal size and use as the addition, with a total area of ground disturbance less than 2,500 square feet, or the construction of an accessory building with a total area of ground disturbance less than 2,500 square feet, and the additional space in either case is estimated to generate less than twenty-five (25) additional trips per day.
